RENAE CLAAR
Renae Claar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Renae is the owner and Clinical Director of Draper Therapy and Wellness Center. Renae received her Bachelors of Social Work from Boise State University and her Masters of Social Work from The University of North Dakota.
Renae specializes in working with teenagers, adults, couples, and families. She has experience in treating a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, addiction, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. Renae has extensive experience in helping people work towards their adoption goals. Her background includes working with families and individuals within the foster care system and domestic and international adoptions. As a result of her time working in Emergency Rooms; Renae also has extensive experience in helping those who struggle with suicidal thoughts or who are in other psychiatric crisis.
Renae has a warm and genuine nature which helps clients feel at ease. She believes trust and acceptance are essential parts of the therapeutic process and works hard to establish that with her clients. She believes that everyone has their own unique path to healing, and she is skilled at helping them discover that by fostering self-discovery, acceptance, and resilience. She blends a variety of therapeutic approaches including emotionally focused therapy, solutions focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Renae enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, two dogs, and two cats. She enjoys simple self-care practices, such as watching her favorite show, calling a good friend, or listening to podcasts. She also enjoys traveling, music, dancing, laughing, and the outdoors.
Jumana Dhaher
Jumana is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Jumana received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
She has experience working with a wide variety of mental health issues, ranging from anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, addictions, post traumatic stress disorder, and trauma. She works from a place of compassion, empathy and provides a safe place where thoughts and emotions can be expressed allowing for self-discovery and self-empowerment. She believes in teaching skills and offering strategies to help people work through difficult times.
The therapeutic approaches she uses includes EMDR, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
In her spare time, Jumana enjoys reading, cycling, spending time outdoors, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Kaylum paletta
Kaylum is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor with over 15 years of experience. He has worked and managed in every level of mental health care available: outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, and inpatient hospitalization. He is passionate about helping people overcome mental health challenges and achieve their goals.
Kaylum is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, existential therapy, and attachment therapy. Kaylum also has experience working with a wide range of clients, including families, adults, adolescents, and children.
Kaylum is experienced in treating trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, men's issues, addiction and recovery, and sports and performance therapy.
He is also proficient in working with concerns in interpersonal communication, emotional regulation, mindfulness, relaxation, defiance, behavior, anger/aggression, intimacy, attachment, perfectionism, shame and guilt, resentment and forgiveness, job performance, confidence, and personality.
In his spare time, Kaylum enjoys collecting and reading comic books, playing and coaching soccer, physical fitness, and spending time with his family. He is also an advocate for mental health awareness and is committed to providing high-quality care to his clients.
CHelsey Merchant
Chelsey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah.
Chelsey has experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Chelsey’s experience includes working with children in the foster care system, adolescents in residential treatment, and has several years of experience in outpatient therapy. Chelsey specializes in working with depression, anxiety, faith transition, self-harm reduction, coping skills, body and self-esteem issues, and trauma. Chelsey is currently accepting clients who are adolescents 16+ or adults.
Chelsey believes strongly that clients get to create their own life paths and own their success while she is simply there to be a guide and support throughout their process. Chelsey uses CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma narrative, and intuitive eating as a framework for therapy with clients.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends hiking, taking road trips, eating delicious food, and above all spending time with her French bulldog, Champ.
Emily Roseborough
Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah.
Emily specializes in working with children and adolescents, but also enjoys working with adults and families. She has worked in a residential treatment center for at-risk youth, an elementary school as a school counselor, and many medical facilities providing trauma and crisis interventions. Emily also has experience working with teens and adults creating behavioral modification plans through in-home assessments and intervention applications.
Emily is trained to work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, reactive attachment disorder, abuse and neglect, mood dysregulation, behavioral concerns, autism, and developmental disabilities. She is passionate about instilling life-long coping skills and tools to promote self-awareness and independence. One of her favorite authors, David Richo, PhD, writes “our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us”. Emily helps her clients uncover those “wounds” so they can live a more fulfilling and purposeful life full of hope.
Emily can be found relaxing during her down time. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Austin Jones
Austin is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in crisis and trauma. He also has experience working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning disorders.
His therapeutic approach is attachment-based and trauma-informed, emphasizing family systems and relational development. Austin deeply respects the courage it takes to seek therapy and prioritizes highlighting and celebrating the strengths that individuals bring to the process.
In addition to his work as a therapist, Austin is a musician, songwriter, and artist. He strives to find balance in life through outdoor activities and creative pursuits.
SHAUNDA OSBORN
Shaunda is our practice manager. She is available to assist with billing questions or appointment scheduling. She loves greeting and chatting with our clients and it is her goal to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable at our office. Her background includes over 20 years of management and administrative experience in the mental health, medical, and spa industries. She completed her bachelor’s degree in health education and promotion at the University of Utah.
Shaunda loves learning about the mind/body connection. She is a Reiki practitioner and a Yoga Alliance Foundation accredited yoga instructor. We are excited to be offering her yoga classes and reiki sessions as a wonderful complement to mental health therapy.
maple
Maple is our stress reduction and therapy support dog. She is a hypoallergenic, mini-goldendoodle with the sweetest temperament. Her goal is to make everyone feel loved and she is extremely happy to receive belly scratches in return. Her calming, affectionate nature makes her the favorite employee at our office.
